* Dancing, drumming, poetry reading at the Civic.
* acknowledging the IWD: display of photos of women, information on IWD, some statistics about the position of women, information and photos of the events and projects that Southampton Women’s Forum was involved in. The Mayor will say few words about the women’s struggle for equal rights
“Is my life worth anything” event; 10am-2pm, 15th March at African Caribbean Centre.
* Workshop/discussions on the theme of honour violence, domestic violence, female genital mutilation.
